In a world of doubters
Belief is not a given
Yet when the world had written them off
Fourteen of my brothers persevered
The bodies belied them, yet they persevered
The teachers kept changing, yet they persevered
The pandemic turned their worlds upside down, yet they persevered
Their families tried hard to catch up, yet they persevered
Leaders they surely are
With the paths not widely travelled
Hungry to continue to blaze the trail
And change the world
The world may not be ready
But my brothers are not going to give up
Giving up is not in their dictionary
For how else would they have come this far
